Says the serial BMW owner! :)
The real question: does the used market insanity extend to my ragged 180k mile 6MT V70R with dents all over the hood and a broken (mysterious electronics - I fixed the mechanicals) AWD? :)
I’ve been thinking about how little winter prep my cars need. Do I really need to put the snows on my wife’s MINI? We’re both working from home - when is she going to need to go somewhere in bad weather at the same time I *also* need to go? I’m going with never. Maybe I’ll just check for dents and swap if I find one I…
I had the stolen debit card thing happen to me about 20 years ago. THAT got my attention.
It’s not uncommon to have manufacturer incentives that are cash back OR a low interest loan though. That was the case when my wife bought her MINI. The difference in total outlay was close to a wash so she paid cash.
Aerosol or direct?
If you have the time, the second video is great. Lots of detail about how this works, what goes into designing/building a glider for it, the challenges, etc. With the tight turns he’s making, the air over the the stop of the wing is actually faster than the speed of sound. The plane is named “Transonic”.
Yeah, it’s impossible to find a good video of these things.
Watch the second video. It’s very good. Also: https://www.rcgroups.com/dynamic-soaring-126/
One interesting bit from the second video: the top of the wings are already seeing supersonic air passing over them. The plane is actually named “Transonic” for that reason.
That was great, thanks. I vaguely knew their was a connection (in the US, a few Golf SportWagen/Alltrack owners have bought aftermarket exhausts advertised for a Skoda) but hadn’t really appreciated the coupling of the two car lines.
I had a ‘95 S4s for 5 or 6 years. I loved it. Great car. Honest and playful handling (I used to adjust my drive to work to drift it through an empty parking lot), solid engine, transmission requires empathy, totally useless off boost (adjusting the cam timing helped a little).
Laminated mo better if you find yourself upside down too.
Tesla has inventory for everything but the Y in the NY/NJ region.
Damn. That couldn’t have been cheap. His lift is not making him any money while the truck sits on it waiting on head work.
My in-laws think it’s weird that I haven’t replaced the refrigerator they gave us 15+ years ago. I just checked - it’s 28 years old. They’re on their 3rd since then...
From what I read, if it was faster than the standard plane, it was only just barely (and there are conflicting reports). The German engineers thought they knew everything about air cooled engines and didn’t care for the opinions of a bunch of ‘dumb Texans’ (the engineers at Mooney, including the renowned Roy LoPresti).…
Ah, you unlock the blue with the $4500 package. $6k adds an optional red.
$39995 is a net of $27,495 in NJ (tax credit + rebate). No sales tax on EVs either so it’s price-equivalent to a $26k car. Damn.
