It’s more that producers think they need a “big name” to put on a poster and trailer to attract audience members (especially if the film doesn’t belong to a famous franchise), and bc Hollywood has been shit at hiring people of color as actors, there aren’t as many “big names” who aren’t white (in Hollywood’s eyes).

It’s possible different people have different views.
