Does it need to be said that these incidents are probably a lot more likely in areas where unaccredited people are filling these positions due to how poorly teachers are treated in that state? Also these areas tend to be ones where you get the most punished for low test scores, which generally just means you are

God damn it. I had $50 on Mississippi.

Yeah, this new FOA seems less "unfair punishment" and more "correcting the fact that this wasn't already required."

wouldn't this create a false sense of security/atmosphere for these kids?

My parents complained a lot. It didn't really help because the response of my administrations were always "meh." I spent most of my time in Catholic schools not just because I was raised Catholic, but because the schools actually were safer. Not because I found administrators or teachers sympathetic to my expression,

It is standard for universities to control how alcohol is served on campus. A sober person serving alcohol? No kegs? No giant tubs of mixed drinks? Get over it.

He's handling things way better than Buffy. All she did was mope, and cut her hair short, and secret-bang Spike.

Wait, let me get this straight. Do you mean to tell me that people actually intentionally deceived other human beings with a theological pretense for personal financial gain? I'm not buying it Kelly that just seems ridiculous.

Are you saying heaven is not 4 real?

My cat had both eyes removed due to infection. One day after the surgery he was running about without a care. He has no problems getting around, finds his litterbox just fine, and generally acts like any other cat. The one thing he *can't* do is jump onto high places or from side to side. He can jump up from the

Declawing isn't a DIY at home operation. It's removal of the entire first joint of the toe. Anyone attempting that at home would result in an instantly noticeable issue to any visitor, the cat would likely require veterinary intervention to avoid being crippled, and the person would be charged with animal cruelty.

Animal experts have already decisively stated that it negatively impacts the animal's quality of life and that multiple important species behaviors are based on having claws (like using a scratcher), but ya know, if random internet person from Wisconsin who had a grand total of two cats thinks it's OK, we should

I'm sure you could still do a lot of things even if we cut off your fingers. Feel free to volunteer.

It does. And it's painful. This is the same lame excuse people use to defend spanking.

But what are the benefits of having the cats declawed? Aside from scratching, which is a behavioral problem that can be dealt with, why would we allow people to declaw cats? Most of them are affected by the practice, even psychologically. So why shouldn't we ban them?

i started reading this and i was like DID U GET THE COLORS

Look, if you want an animal that can't claw you or your belongings, don't get a fucking cat. Even the best behaved cats may claw on furniture occasionally and cats very rarely claw a person without reason.

Yup, I'm fine with this being banned. We should also add ear and tail docking to the list too, while we're at it.

i'm pro. i don't think most people understand what actually happens in a declawing. it's extremely similar to removing the first knuckle from a human finger.
