I too am suffering from origin story fatigue, but I don’t think the studio had much of a choice on this one. Doctor Strange isn’t mainstream enough for most audiences to know his backstory, and this is the movie that’s introducing full-on magic to the Marvel universe, so an origin story is necessary this time around.

When I watched TGD it made me appreciate Finding Nemo more because a lot of TGD’s problems were things that Finding Nemo did right. There were other issues, of course. The movie wasn’t offensively bad or anything, it was just boring and bland and generic.
