Yep. Especially since for quite a while, and this might still be happening, Disney was pretty desperate to reach the young male audience. Disney had gotten so well known for Disney Princesses and Hannah Montana that they kind of lost the boys, hence the focus on Cars and why they purchased Marvel.

When I watched Brave, it was very easy to tell that the movie had production issues. It really felt like the movie was made by different people who had different visions, one person wanted a mystical fantasy while the other wanted it to be about the mother-daughter relationship.

Yeah, Inside Out has good sequel potential. Even just following Riley, they could see the emotions as she continues to have new experiences. Or they could go inside the mind of someone else. I want to see the movie focusing on a bipolar person, or a serial killer.

Agreed. Live-action shows are much more limited in what they can do. Teen/adult animation for something other than comedy would open up a whole new world of story possibilities. I’d love to see a superhero cartoon marketed to an older audience, or a cool sci-fi show, or a big epic fantasy.

That’s why I got into anime as a kid, and why I still like it as an adult. For me as a kid, what really drew me in were female characters. In the US, there has never been a high supply of action/fantasy shows revolving around female leads. But with anime and the magical girl genre, you had so much to choose from! And

Very true, though to someone who has only seen Hollywood, a cliche anime will still feel like something new.

I don’t know how it works for schools in other countries, but in the US, students going to public schools still have to bring some of their own supplies and pay fees.

In all fairness, Marvel properties are better known, and Marvel didn’t get hardcore about creating a cinematic universe until they already had some successes that proved comic book/superhero films could make money. Blizzard is going into a more unpredictable market here. Not as many people have much familiarity with

Yeah, that bugs the crap out of me. Plus, when filmmakers insist that all adaptations be “dark and gritty”, it prevents the movie from standing out. I saw the trailer for Batman vs. Superman and thought “oh look another dark and edgy movie. I’ll pass”. A big reason that the Marvel movies have been so successful is

Oh, definitely. What Marvel did had no guarantee of success, but it paid off very well. Now they’re making tons of money even from movies based off of lesser known comics. But, it’s not like it’s an easy thing to do either.

Agreed. A bully might have an explanation for their behavior, but that’s not the same as an excuse.

Plus unless you’re big or strong, you might not be able to hurt the bully. This chick beat up my friend in middle school, I would have fought back if she wasn’t over twice my size and had all of her friends behind her.

Agreed. I hate the whole “be nice to bullies cause they might have a bad home life!” shit. Even if the bully does have a bad home life or whatever, well, that may be an explanation for bad behavior, but not an excuse.

Agreed. I’m convinced that adults telling kids “ignore it and be the bigger person” is just code for “I’m too lazy to deal with it”. There are times when ignoring the bully does work, sometimes with verbal bullying, (worked for me in middle school. Bitch would get all up in my face and I wouldn’t react to her, and she

Jester, eh? I hope they go more with a jester theme rather than a clown one, that would be easier to make into an attractive Pokemon.

Eh, if Litten evolves into a tiger I’ll be pretty happy. Despite tigers being so popular, we’ve never had a non-legendary Pokemon based on one. Rowlet may not have a fancy design, but the stuff he does in the trailer is so damn cute! And I do love Popplio’s design, and his little pose, it all gives him some real

I don’t think three different water mammals makes the concept “played out”. (I also wouldn’t group Oshawott with the pinnipeds) There are many more cat Pokemon.

For me, Rowlet’s appeal is less his design and more of how he acts in the trailer. The little turn around he does, and how he turns his head all the way around to look at his trainer? Too cute.

Same here, I’m not really a fan of humanoid designs, that’s the big reason I don’t like Delphox. I think Litten will be fine as long as they don’t do that for him.

Same here. I think all of the starters look great so far, but I don’t pick until the final forms are available. I am loving the owl, I think he’ll be pretty hard to screw up, (I’d say the same for Litten, but look what happened with Fennekin...) but Popplio is adorable and I hope he gets a cool final evo.
