During a flashback, we see her smoke weed with other teenagers(?) on what appears to be a military base.

That’s a pretty dumb argument. You could use that on any issue that is less severe than starving children.
$20 is underpriced. Have you seen how much dolphin interaction programs go for?
Hey, there’s nothing wrong with being a zoo enthusiast!
That’s interesting. Maybe women tend to buy stylish but cheap clothes, while guys are more likely to spend extra for something durable? But I know good suits can be expensive too.
Ha ha, agreed. I don’t mind sexy lady characters at all, but there is a point where it just looks stupid.
I wonder if people thought that about the last of every now-extinct animal.
Critically endangered is the highest level before extinction. You can also count functional extinction (in which there may be one to a few members of a species left, but not enough to help the population recover) if you wish, but the official conservation groups and environmental organizations don’t do that.
Some species/subspecies of tigers and rhinos will be around for a long time. Even if they die out in the wild, there will still be captive populations. But it’s still something we want to avoid.
He’s beautiful!
Similarly, the wives of samurai, while still viewed as lower than the men, were entrusted with many responsibilities as well. And like the women you mention, they were also often trained to fight so they could defend their homes and children. (some even fought alongside male warriors in battle)

New converts to any group or religion tend to be the most overzealous. Sometimes it’s cause they’re so caught up in this new thing, other times it’s cause they want to show how SUPER DUPER DEDICATED they are.
Same here. I buy most of my books at Half Price Books, not just because of the price (though that is part of it) but also largely because of the variety they offer.
Correct.
Ha ha, true. I never said it worked, it’s just the reasoning of the studios. Disney and Pixar rarely (though still sometimes) rely on celebrity voices in their marketing and they’re at the top of the industry.
They cut it out because they thought the depiction of human cloning would’ve been too controversial. But yeah, I cried like a bitch when I saw it.
And note that a big reason Marvel movies have continued to be successful is that they experiment with different genres and styles. An R-rated film with a possibly more comedic tone is just another thing to try, and I see nothing wrong with it.
A lot of superhero movies lately, especially Marvel ones, have been experimenting with different genres. That’s a huge reason they’re continuing to be successful. GotG was a space epic, Ant-Man was a heist movie, the first Captain America was a period piece and the second was a spy thriller... I could go on. An…
There’s also the whole martyr complex thing. Christianity, especially evangelical, loooooves martyrdom. The whole idea of suffering for your faith, but never caving in to your opponent. Hence why they pretend to be persecuted.
