Eh, she likes Sasha, but she wants a small, easier to manage dog. Sasha is quite a handful, and dogs her size usually slow down when they’re 8 and die before they’re 15, but not Sasha. Still has the energy of a puppy. Plus, when we got her, mom expressed disappointment that we brought home a large adult dog instead of

I see it happen quite a bit with huskies. People get them because they look cool, can’t resist a dog that looks kind of like a wolf. But they don’t always do research, and they’re surprised to learn that a dog that was bred to pull sleds through several miles of snow is very energetic. I’m pretty sure my dog is a

She tries to act like some badass wolf, but she’s too much of a goofball to pull it off.

She’s actually yellow, but the picture dulls her color quite a bit. Here’s a brighter one:

I love the coloring choices in these!

There are so many in shelters because they’re a very popular breed, so it’s not really surprising that they’d sell. (there’s also the terrifying likelihood that some of these dogs may be getting sold as fighting dogs) Anyway. A lot of people think that purebred dogs are rare in shelters, so they don’t bother checking.

I wish parrots would get more protection. They’re very intelligent animals that need a lot of special care, but a lot of people think you can just stick ‘em in a cage all day.

Ghost dog?

I can see how GSDs would end up in the shelter a lot. A lot of people like them because they look cool, but they’re not really beginner dogs.

I had a mutt that was good at killing things, some guys once offered to buy her as a hunting dog. But we’re not selling a beloved family pet.

I’m pretty sure she’s a husky mix, but she does look more like a GSD at this angle. Here’s another picture:

Sasha is quite a cutie, she gets complimented all the time. Particularly since large, mixed breed dogs are uncommon in this area, so she stands out.

Kinja is also being wonky for me today. I wasn’t even sure that post of mine went through.

Guess I’m glad my dog is a poorly trained mystery mutt. No one would bother stealing her.

This is one factor. Also, I dunno if my other reply went through, so I’ll just say it again... A lot of people think that purebred dogs are rare in shelters, so they don’t usually bother to check. They also might not want to deal with any extra work a shelter might ask of them.

A lot of people think that purebred dogs are very rare in shelters, so they don’t bother checking. Also, many shelters require you to meet a certain set of standards to adopt a pet. Some people don’t want to deal with that, even when it’s very minimal, so they buy.

That would be a good idea.

Doesn’t surprise me. Polio is seen as a disease that nobody gets any more, so why bother vaccinating and putting your kid at risk for the dreaded autism? (yes, I’m aware that vaccines don’t cause autism)

Do Steam games even have ratings? Anyway, if it’s non-sexual nudity a lot of people won’t have an issue.

lol at people getting all pissy about this. Most games already make you play as a set character. Would you really avoid playing a cool game because the character had a different skin color, or was another gender? Personally I love love LOVE character customization, but I do think the idea behind getting a randomized
