@Tyrunn: That would actually be pretty funny. Instead of referring to each season in terms of who played the Doctor and who his companion was (standard shorthand in our house) we could just use Rory's method of dying.

@Murray Hewitt: My problem is that I tend to want to separate the syllables wrong and end up reading it as "co-splay." Which really has a different connotation.
@milovoo: "Impossible Planet/Satan Pit" are very good but I think if you're trying to sell someone on Doctor Who (especially someone with the preconceived notion that the show is childish and silly — I'm looking at you, mrs-falcons) then the go to episodes are "Blink" and "Midnight." That will work every time.
@hutch_a_butch: I felt the same way (new favorite series) back in the day when I first read the books. But be ready for a slow, steady drop-off after Messiah. And if you really cherish Herbert's work DON'T read the crap his son and Kevin Anderson perpetrated.

@Ayepecks: Not to be pedantic, but unless painting girl's belly button is huge I'm pretty sure she's an exclamation point. :)
Shouldn't those umlauts be little higher above the U?

@phatnacky: —sonic screwdriver.
By saying that the birth scene in Breaking Dawn should feel visceral what he means is that we get to see Edward chewing through her viscera.
@PlaidNinja: It's "re-NAY smee." Few people realize that Captain Hook's first mate was a french-canadian vampire baby.
My choice for the modern twist on godlike aliens? So glad you asked.
@Rumtum: What you said.
@Jerm Deeks: Do you have Netflix in Canada? Great way to catch up on tv series at your leisure.
@Dr Emilio Lizardo: Those are some of my favorite books.
