Thank you for this. Thank you for giving us a link to send people when we want to pull our hair out with frustration and we don’t have the energy to perform the emotional labor of lamenting all this for the millionth time. Thank you for this straightforward corroboration of everything we want to scream in people’s

Great writing.

HRC endorsed someone with political experience over a TV personality??

Where the party “needs to go” is an irrelevant metric. Clinton cleaned Sanders clock 58/42 in the NY primary. Nixon will likely under-perform that benchmark.

Why the fuck are people pretending that Cynthia Nixon is a viable candidate for Governor? Just because you’re famous and have political opinions doesn’t mean you should run for office.

I doubt a Hillary nomination is damaging in New York, especially among Democrats. She did win the New York primary by 16 points after all.

That sounds rough. At your trivia night and everything. Wow. Do you need a hug?

Yeah, it also rubs me the wrong way that everyone has to run for the highest office available. Like, run for senate, run for state house, run for mayor. But that’s not flashy enough.

Political experience isn’t really the issue, it’s the lack of extensive management experience. Governor in particular is a management heavy position. I’d feel way better about her even running for senator or the House. Personal values don’t get you anywhere if you don’t have a good understanding how the government and

Cuomo kinda sucks but lets not pretend that Nixon is qualified to be governor

I fervently dislike Cuomo, but I feel like the past eighteen months has really put a damper on the whole “hey let’s elect celebrities to public office, that should work well” thing.

Nixon has some great ideas but I think she’d be completely out of her element when it comes to the management skill necessary to be governor. I know she’s done some advocacy work, but honestly I don’t think she’s really prepared for the job. I just hope she pushes Cuomo left.

But this is the same thing that lames say about women who are into nerd shit: “You’re just liking it because you want to be accepted/get attention from us men.”

So you think that black folks who like “white” coded stuff do it for the reason that it affords them access to white people?

She didn’t initially take her husbands name, got shit for it. She didn’t initially play the role of wife in the public eye, an entire political party targeted her with vindictive retaliation for the rest of her life.

THIS. I felt the question was rather navel-gazing, and yet, Hillary gave a response that not only made me think, but showed that she herself was weighing and considering all angles while talking. She would’ve been a damn good president.

But her Twitter Bio!

I don’t find the question very meaningful or insightful. I rather find the more interesting part of the exchange the ability of Hillary Clinton to tackle nearly any question with a reasoned thoughtful response. You may not agree with her answers but she can weave an intelligent personal tale into a coherent

Asking Hillary Clinton this seems just so incredibly basic and clickbaity. I am dissapointed in this. Who the fuck cares what her twitter bio says?

Everyone knows feminism is about policing women’s public representation of themselves, right?
