We've Got A Bigger Problem Now

I’m always amazed at the contrasts between NFL owners; here Robert Kraft is trying to stifle video of his massage parlor visit, while Jerry Jones would license it, release it on DVD (after adding a “Making of” feature as bonus material), and offer it for on-demand streaming…

It’s basically the Streisand effect here, and it’s wonderful

Also the belief that creating a service and/or product that caters only to the rich and business class is the only market that counts, thus further creating that gulf between classes that seems to be this country’s destiny

“And—get this—he thought he was privileged enough to drink out of the same water fountain as Bryce!”

Agreed. A cash-only lane, and how about a beer-only lane too. Stop mixing food lines with booze lines, dammit. One moves significantly faster than the other.

Yeah, it’s not just baseball. It’s just part of the dramatic growth of rent-seeking business models, that are designed to find ways to make people pay for mundane things that used to be free.

“He even had the temerity to be offended when I asked if his mother had ever worked as a prostitute!”

Camden rules. I drank a shitload of cheap Yeungling tallboys when I caught a last September for what would have gotten me a beer and a half in SF. A++++

He also had the audacity to look me in the eyes and speak to my wife directly. I mean, can you imagine?!

He’s the antithesis of Brett Gardner.

Sheesh. That scout is really something. The only thing missing was “uppity.”

And we live on the T.

Yeah we went to Nats games with my daughter when she was an infant. It would have been literally impossible to do that without a diaper bag.

It’s all built to screw fans, but it has the added benefit of screwing employees, too!

Camden Yards has domestic drafts starting at $4

Dad: Hey Junior, you’re 7 now. Want to see a baseball game?

St. Louis resident here. My kids have never been to a Cardinals game at the stadium. The sole reason is the prohibitive cost compared to how much my kids would bitch and whine the entire time they were there. What my kids have been to, however, are a handful of independent league games. And they love them. But they

Rogers Centre in Toronto has “$5 12oz Buds and Bud Lights” this year. That’s $5 Canadian ($3.72 US at current exchange).

Definitely wasn’t the case at Yankee Stadium (granted in 2012). Stadium security recommended lockers at a shady bowling alley somewhere nearby.

A bag ban would be long term detrimental to MLB.
