We've Got A Bigger Problem Now
melvinmelvinsii

we mistreated First Nations people way back in the day,

Hi, I grew up in Vancouver, lived in Montreal and in the Toronto area now.

Not to mention as a black man in a supposedly free society I still can’t go anywhere in this country without worrying about my safety. Heck, I can’t even walk in my own neighborhood without being harassed by a LEO.

You mean the president that 62 million out of 300 million people voted for?

“Canada’s not nearly as bad”

You’re a fucking hoser. Your country is 3% black. You point to one fucking city as proof that people in Canada see a lot of black people?

What is false? That Canadians are racist as hell to indigenous people? Really?

As a p.o.c who has lived and worked in Canada, the US and Europe I am comfortable in saying this is false as hell.

But in the US, perhaps due to oddities of our culture, it’s a more passive-aggressive form of racism where they just talk about “those people” and make sure their kids don’t go to the same schools or live in the same neighborhoods and vote for politicians who know what dogwhistles to use.

Canada’s not so bad? Says who?

In the U.S. it’s also redlining, and the crack epidemic, and the Ku Klux Klan, and the response to Hurricane Katrina, and COINTELPRO, and cops murdering black people without consequence, so...really nothing passive-aggressive about that.

Bonucci’s idiotic, ignorant ass 50/50 comment doesn’t even make sense chronologically. Kean was receiving racist chants from the first whistle & his goal wasn’t until the 85th minute.

It’s not just the Anglosphere and Europe. Japan, South Korea, etc. are all extremely racist as well. So is the Middle East. So is just about everywhere.

Giuliani did the most work trying to excuse the inexcusable.

Man its a good thing Italy didn’t potentially derail the career of its last great talent of African origin. And Juve wouldn’t have any experience with monkey noises being directed at said teen phenom.  They’d probably have learned something from that situation

I feel like North Americans and most of the world don’t realize how racist a large portion of Europe actually is. Im not calling out any specific areas or nations, but racism seems to be more serious, significant, and widespread problem in Europe than inNorth America imo.

It is racist to boo and whistle black players for no reason—Kean, Alex Sandro, and Blaise Matuidi have never done anything to raise the particular ire of Cagliari fans, and if anything Kean should be one of the more universally liked players across Serie A’s stadiums, seeing as he is Italy’s most promising young

You can absolutely count on his base taking up some 2nd amendment solutions if he loses in 2020.

What will happen if when he loses in 2020 and doesn’t accept the results? Who knows!

To be honest, I’m not sure if the one about windmills is worse than this one. It’s just a complete rejection of the reality surrounding him.
