We've Got A Bigger Problem Now

Who cares about his sensible and humane policies on governing?

Just another example of Bernie’s inescapable charisma--the only reason anyone supports him.

Don’t disagree, Hightower has been an animal. Having said that, I think Gilmore was the runaway defensive stud for THIS particular SB win.

Those games were practice.

I’m really big on Kyle Van Noy. Here’s a talented player drafted by Detroit in the second round who looked like he was going to be a bust. Belichick works his magic and now he's one of my favorite players. Doesn't fill up the stat sheet but if you watch the film, he's always filling the right gap, forcing an

Hightower has a way of showing the fuck up during Super Bowls, especially when they let him get loose and rush the passer. Dude’s come up huge three times now.

This really hits on something that has somewhat frustrated me about some of the complaining with the Patriots victory here and how they ruined this great narrative of rising stars and new teams.

Edelman had a nice game, but I don’t understand how someone from the Patriots defense - Hightower, especially - wasn’t the MVP.

One of my best friends is a season ticket inmate of the Lions - I texted him after they beat the Pats this year to congratulate him, his response was a journey into the depths of how broken and forlorn a fan base can become even after a victory.

He missed the Eagles SB, that’s one reason the Pats’ defense was trash in that game.

You’re always on the money Dom.

As a Lion’s fan, thank god for the transitive property.

Looking over Football outsiders today, the Patriots beat the no.1 DVOA team (KC), the no.2 DVOA team (LAR), and the number 3 DVOA (LAC) team in the postseason this year. That’s crazy.

It looked like the Pats DL/LBs for the whole game just took their advice from Marshawn Lynch and kept running through a motherfucker’s face.

Honestly it was very similar to the last time the Patriots beat the Rams. Mike Martz was gonna win it “his way” and didn’t adjust to game in front of him.

They figured out that once the play clock hits 15 seconds and McVay isn’t in his ear telling him what to do he’s completely lost.

The Rams went no huddle for a few plays and it worked. They then stopped for some reason.

So did NFL defenses just figure out Goff or what?  He kinda went from Kurt Warner circa 2000 to Matthew Stafford circa now over the course of the season.

Or go no-huddle to stop the Patriots’ pre-snap shifts that were obviously confusing him.

What killed me with that almost-interception by Hightower is that I’m fairly certain that the only reason he couldn’t hold the ball  was because of how badly Goff threw the ball.
