I cannot wait for his first attempted campaign event in the Seattle area.

Right, what schultz did was particularly egregious. He had more than enough money and the Sonics with KD, Harden, Westbrook would have been incredible.
As a longtime Rockets fan, I loathed the Sonics. They and the Jazz were our playoff nemeses and I loved to bitterly hate them.
Baby Boomers who hate Bernie come in two flavors: Centrist Democrats and Centrist Republicans. Not exactly Trump’s base.
He’s popular with baby boomers who hate Bernie.
You are obviously talking to a crazy boomer who doesn’t even have a surface level understanding of politics. Only a blithering idiot would think Bernie voters would vote for a billionaire who wants to make the rich pay less in taxes.
Yes, exactly this. He’s a “Business Republican.” They’re the Chamber of Commerce sorts that are interested in cutting taxes (mostly on the rich) and gutting business regulation and so on. They tend to not care as much about social issues, though are perfectly willing to fuck over minorities and LGBTQ folks in order to…
I think it’s the dues that upset some people.
Well, when they scream so loud about how good it is, that I can hear it my back yard next door while barbecuing, it kind of becomes the conversation at that point.
If you vote for Bernie Sanders, or Elizabeth Warren, or even Kamala Harris, the centrist third-party candidate will ensure Trump’s re-election.
This guy sold the Sonics to some crooks and rednecks in OKC and then claimed he didnt have the money to really keep the team. For that alone he should always be shunned and mocked.
It’s a hostage negotiation where he’s wearing a suicide vest made out of hot dogs. There’s a reason even the most right wing Republicans don’t run on “entitlement reform” as a platform. It’s quite possibly the least popular position a politician can take.
“rugged individualism” and the “self-made man” mythology that permeates our culture. Add in a sprinkling of just world hypothesis and the Protestant work ethic - if you’re rich you’re good and if you’re poor you must just be lazy - and this is what you get.
Maybe this is why my wife insisted on living in a right to work state...
I’ll never understand the American workers willingness to trust in the humanity of one rich asshole over the efforts of a union or even elected officials in government.

I think of it this way: It’s totally fine for capital to collude and set prices for their goods and services, but when labor does it for their labor, that’s somehow bad and wrong.
Whenever someone complains that unions pit labor against management, call them out on that bullshit quickly and loudly.
i don’t get why people make such a fuss over unions. what two laborers do in their own homes is none of my business.
Not a bug, feature, etc., etc.
