This guy sold the Sonics to some crooks and rednecks in OKC and then claimed he didnt have the money to really keep the team. For that alone he should always be shunned and mocked. 

It’s a hostage negotiation where he’s wearing a suicide vest made out of hot dogs. There’s a reason even the most right wing Republicans don’t run on “entitlement reform” as a platform. It’s quite possibly the least popular position a politician can take.

“rugged individualism” and the “self-made man” mythology that permeates our culture.  Add in a sprinkling of just world hypothesis and the Protestant work ethic - if you’re rich you’re good and if you’re poor you must just be lazy - and this is what you get.

I think of it this way: It’s totally fine for capital to collude and set prices for their goods and services, but when labor does it for their labor, that’s somehow bad and wrong.

Whenever someone complains that unions pit labor against management, call them out on that bullshit quickly and loudly.

i don’t get why people make such a fuss over unions. what two laborers do in their own homes is none of my business.
