What gets me is that he doesn’t seem to understand they they’re helping him with his money, he seems to think of them as the money police - the people who are in charge of not letting him have more than he can afford.

Since the saying goes- A few bad apples ruin the bunch, cops and politicians who use that example in hopes of defending the supposedly “good ones” are really shooting themselves in the foot.

Not rare at all. Common enough that my Dad has always told me to tie up my hair when I drive to avoid calling it to the attention of the cops that I’m a woman. Note that he specifically said cops, not bikers, not truckers, he worries about cops. What a world we live in.

Why do I get the feeling these guys became cops specifically for the purpose of meeting women and using their authority to force/coerce them into dates or worse?

If you have a few stories a day about a few cops being “bad apples,” then after a while, it ceases to be a “bad apples” situation and becomes systemic.

 Or, put in terms for the GOP. The misconduct rate is probably close the the welfare fraud rate, which means it’s a massive issue, right?
