My equally Hamilton-obsessed husband to the audience after the performance. “That’s right. You stand. The. Fuck. Up. When you clap, because you just witnessed fucking ART.”
Spoken like someone who hasn’t listened to the soundtrack ;-)
You will not regret it, but listen to it as all the way through on your first go as you can! Everyone I know who is lukewarm on it didn't listen to it in sequence
True story: JNCO is trying. I commented on an article regarding the resurgence of JNCO jeans with my own JNCO story and a very nice woman from their marketing department asked if I would be willing to blog about it for them. I declined, but she was a real peach... with a pretty impossible task because JNCOs just…
TulipCat, you treasure that magical child
IS IT that’s she’s not a good campaigner, though? I don’t think she’s a bad campaigner—far better than Kerry, that’s for damn sure. Bless his heart. Like, I don’t think she has the natural charisma of her husband or Obama, but I also don't think people would never stand for it if she did. They'd accuse her of being a…
That said, while i VAGUELY felt the surgery itself (I could tell someone was touching me), I had idea it had begun until my doc was like “Okay, I’m getting ready to deliver.” I replied “When did you even start?!” And she was like “What did you think I was doing?!”
Ultimately, I voted for Hillary, but I love Bernie and I love what he did for this primary and country. I’ve begrudged him almost nothing in terms of “it’s probably not going to happen but that’s not the point”... But this is pushing my limits.
As high as they’d ever been...
I don’t know that it stayed that way, though...
Fair enough. I still don’t know if I completely buy it, because I don’t think he needs to be a candidate to do a lot of the things you’ve suggested and, frankly, holding out for DC is still just unnecessary theater, but still, those are some very good points.
*slinks away, hissing*
Whether he continues campaigning or not, that genie (thankfully) ain’t going back in the bottle any time soon...
I stand by my early assessment that Bernie was encouraged by the party run to take the liberal temperature of the country at this juncture and that everyone, including him, was surprised by the results. I don’t think he really expected to win, either, but I think he got pretty hopeful for a while there.
I’m currently reading Founding Brothers (almost done) and it’s fascinating. That seems a) like something Madison would say and b)very very true.
That is amazing.
I don’t know: if he’s holding out to make a symbolic gesture it sort of cheapens his whole campaign into looking like a symbolic gesture, which I truly hope it wasn’t.
