there's no panacea; every kid is different and respsonds to different situations differently. Every parent has different strengths and weaknesses. Learning your combo with your child is clutch I think.

It was spelled swavy. Maybe it was simply a misspelling on the site? If it's spelled correctly... *shrug*

Why thank you! What a nice thing to say!

hi hi hi! She is doing fabulous: she is enormous and happy as fuck! How about the littlest Yogi?

ah yes; people sometimes confuse us. (There was a LaCuntess for a while, too...)

thank you!! I had Adorable Baby #2 (La Petite Comtesse) back in May and left my job, so I haven't had as much interwebz leisure time as I'd like!

"there are already 5 religious holidays on the NYC school calendar: 3 Christian and 2 Jewish. So in that sense this is nothing new."

I already had a FB friend bemoan the lack of separation of church and state... And then go on to say that this country was founded on Christian principles. #confusion I'm looking hard for a pot for her to piss in, but I'm coming up short.

My son was measuring huge early so they kept and eye on me thereafter and I had gestational diabetes with my daughter, so I was monitored from appointment one (plus she was a VBAC, so we were careful to be sure she wasn't getting too enormous... She was anyway—9 lbs 2 oz— and 2

Depending on how far along you are they CAN be up to 2 lbs off either way, which is a lot for a little baby. That said, anecdotally speaking I have mostly found them pretty accurate. Both my kids were right within ounces.

On the whole it is fabulous, actually! I really like it. Today... We had some moments. (Dude! If you're sobbing and can't stop protesting that you aren't tired... YOURE TIRED! Just nap!) but generally it's great; fun even. La Petite Comtesse is mobile now. She doesn't crawl like a normal human, though. She either

1) HIIIIIII!

my son is three and insists upon "beautiful rainbow toes" so I feel you

I made my baby's feet even more irresistible while she was sleeping the other day.

have those three Billy goats crossed over your bridge yet?
