That kept me in the closet for years longer than I would have wanted. People don’t realize how incredibly damaging it can be.

Yeah the same case for me. I come for the discussion in the comments because its always so much better than the content of the article. Hopefully we can find a good alternative where we don’t have to first read through a tone-deaf article before getting to the real discussion.

Same. Been looking for an alternative for quite some time. I really only come for the more nuanced discussion in the comments and the occasional celeb news.

I am pretty sure this is going to get me banished into the greys, but does anyone have a better source than Jezebel for news with a feminist focus? I like the format of Jezebel in the sense that it has a good balance between politics and pop culture, but I am disappointed on the regular with how the writers clearly

More like the opposite. Unstable people make for “better” TV.

however it’s not cool to use people of the opposite sex as human shields to protect you from judgement - or stalk them to the point they file restraining orders

I’m gonna guess his mind already wasn’t right before he was cast, and the show just amplified his problems and made them public. Reality TV isn’t exactly known for its rigorous psych screening.

Absolutely.

Thank you.

THANK YOU. You can blame Colton for being an abusive stalker (and I certainly do) but also acknowledge that growing up in a culture where compulsive heterosexuality is normalized and “manhood” is defined by aggressive sexual prowess with women probably helped to make him that way.

“Oh we knew hihihi.” Thank you for being condescending & snarky to people still in the closet and scared to come out.

I shouldn’t have to point it out but : being a virgin does not inherently indicate you have problems with your sexuality.

I see couple of things happening with this Colton discourse.

I think the key part of her quote is where she talks about someone who is continuing to harm people. She’s not talking about someone who is actually reformed.

Rogen wasn’t mistaken about what she wanted, he was trying to buy her silence. That shouldn’t go unforgotten in all of this.

Charlene looks like my own daughter’s twin sister. It makes my mom heart burst with love when I see her sweet face.

It says everything that she said “I want to quit because this guy is a predator” and the producers heard “bigger acting role so I can spend more time on set!”

I see this kind of take a lot and I’m just done with it.

Fair, but there’s a difference between an honest fuck up and being a serial abuser. Even if Franco did deliver some kind of updated response, explanation, apology, whatever, it’s too late now. The dye’s been cast, this is who he is. And clearly Hollywood’s ok with that.

I’m not surprised Seth Rogen is still buds with

Good for her for telling it like it is.
