Speaking of resisting arrest, a friend of mine recently posted that she was applying for a loan from the government to cover business costs incurred during a recent flood, and she had been told that she would be immediately denied any restitution or loan if she had ever been arrested in a protest!

It was interesting that the defense lawyers said something like the jury should keep in mind what made Roof hate black people. Like not only did some black people do something bad to Roof, but obviously therefore all black people are to blame for it. Way to monolithize AND victim-blame all in one jury direction. :(

Though I do like Demi Lovato’s “Let It Go,” particularly the line about, “I know I left a life behind, but I’m too relieved to grieve” that doesn’t appear in the movie version, I wonder how many pop versions getting obliterated by movie versions it’ll take for Disney to realize that most people would just rather hear…
