The only problem is that the NRA doesn’t equate a Black Guy with a Gun as being a Good Guy with a Gun. Here is their official stance on gun possession:

Alabama is also a SYG state - as of ‘06. So now you have open carry (no permit necessary for handguns, as of 2013) and SYG, and a dead black man in possession of his handgun legally.
As a Dolphins fan I’m once again confronted by the inconvenient truth that Don Shula totally wasted Marino’s prime years with weak ass defenses and drafting.
This isn’t even that cynical (sadly)... this is probably just true. Ugh.
Anyone reading this probably grey comment, get out and vote if you haven’t yet!
You missed the point. All these coaches talk about how they teach their YOUNG MEN more than FOOTBAW but about LIFE and HOW TO BE LEADERS and all that other dumb shit. We all know it’s a bullshit lie and this is just an example of it.
Yup, all I could think of was “of course not, they’re primarily African-American so they’ll vote against Coach’s interests”...
It’s not “everyone’s responsibility to tell everyone to vote.”
I hate to be cynical, but part of me can’t help thinking that the typical Southern football coach leans right politically, and isn’t all that interested in encouraging a group of young men who might vote Democrat to vote.
Every single grocery store does this.
At Blizzard moreso than others, they’ll scrap entire games no matter how long they’ve been working on them.
Except that this ad wasn’t for any candidate running for office. This was Trump doing a commercial. This is easy to win against in a lawsuit. Great google search, but you’re clearly not a lawyer familiar with this application of law. NBC did have a choice in the matter. They chose to be complicit in racism.
NBC either needs to turn down every advertisement for every candidate running for POTUS or they have to run that ad.
The ad wasn’t for Trump running for president. He’s not a candidate for anything this year. So what you cited does not apply.
Counterpoint: fuck that guy Bolsonaro and anyone who supports him.
To Hogan’s credit, he came out strong against Durkin and the Board of Regents’ initial decision.
When bad dentists band together to create a movement to divert attetnion from systematic racism then bring their bad dentists flag to a memorial tribute to cast themselves as “the real victims here” then you can bet bad dentists are going to get the same vitriol.
Because that would be the honorable and right thing to do. And this is America, we can’t have nice things.
How about not displaying any flag? Have a one minute of silence. Offer condolences to the victims and then play hockey. Being an appropriate human being that is kind and respectful in the face of tragedy and loss is not that difficult.
If you want to see a cop wet his pants in a fit of rage, simply ask him why, if he’s so against any kind of perceived disrespect against the US flag (i.e., kneeling for the anthem), then why is it ok to fly a United States flag that has been defaced with a giant blue stripe (and purposely discolored as well)? Isn’t…
The 1950's were such a great time!
