Highlight of E3, for me. Prime 4 can cook away for eternity for all I care, been waiting for a fully new 2D Metroid for years and years :)

Anyone who owns and collects for NEC’s PC Engine platforms in 2021 is aware of the required maintenance for these systems. I had my capacitors and laser assembly replaced in my DUO about a dozen years ago and the thing runs like a champ. This physical release is awesome news.
I remember being excited for the potential and buying a Deluxe model on release. The system really needed a better launch lineup, and the marketing was very weak. 3rd party support was minimal and it really fell on Nintendo alone to keep the system afloat with a modest library- but it had a LOT of great games, which…
It’s uncommon and rare in every region. Quite expensive for a non-bootleg copy on any platform in today’s collector’s market
I don’t care which games they put on this platform anymore. Not until they let you remap the buttons and fix the screen so there isn’t visible text. How has this nonsense gone on like this for so long?
Some shenanigans here. I scrolled down on iOS and the Red Vines option isn’t visible for the selection unless I turn my screen sideways. What kind of republican-ass election tampering is this???
Field Programmable Gatorade!
Agreed. I’m pretty stoked for this. I miss the sprites, of course- but this is probably the best modern update for the visuals I could have expected :)
Man, this is the best news in a day full of good news. I’m in the same boat as you. The first time this game was teased back in like 2013, I knew I needed it. 2D run-n-gun platformers are my favorite genre, and the music and visuals are simply incredible. I was so sad to see it tied to Xbox and PC, since I don’t play…
I know the feeling.
That’s a bummer you had to sell your collection :(
I’m not paying that much for small digital collections of games I already own. It’s not that difficult for me to access my consoles and carts/discs. I would consider buying a physical copy for nostalgia, but I’m tired of overpriced downloads.
Are they still making you download most of the games, or are they all included on the disc?
EarthBound was published by Nintendo.
Depends on how committed they are to exclusives that matter. I know they have the funding to push this, but I don’t know that they have the culture to do this right. I’m skeptical, too. The good news is that when they throw in the towel, it sounds like there’s a minimal risk of abandoned hardware that’ll be sitting in…
Whatever happened to that game that let you play as a crab that fights with other crabs? Did it come out? Was it good? I can’t even remember what it’s called.
God, that LEGO one is incredible.
Finally another great game. I wonder if Nintendo will ever let you adjust the display and button mapping. Until they do, I’d rather play these NES games anywhere else :(
Same.
SEGA confirmed in November a worldwide release of OutRun in early 2019 for the Switch :)
