There already is a Lego Mario Airship, from 2021 and it’s really awesome. Even plays the Mario 3 airship level music. Me and my daughter built it and it’s a large and substantial play set. It retailed for like $99 and is much better in size and quality than almost anything else I’ve seen for that price, too. I was…
Seriously. Pikmin 4 is probably the most exciting new release for me in the last couple of years. The 3 mainline Pikmin games are all-time greats to me. Haters can go kick rocks.
Seriously. Remove the arms, and Grimace is already a buttplug. How could they mess this up???
I’m in favor of demos. I miss them. Companies should be excited to show off their new games with hands-on demos.
I’ll hold out for a complete edition on physical. Probably not gonna happen, but I’m very patient. This ain’t it.
I’m not too excited about either of the big new consoles, but as a PlayStation fan since the day it launched in 1995 in North America, the PS5 has been the bigger disappointment. There’s no new exclusive games announced that interest me, and with no backward compatibility, no Game Pass-competing service, and the…
I have it, and a free subscription to Apple Arcade- and after 5 hours, I’m holding out hope for a port to any other platform as well. Playing games on a tiny touch screen is a crummy experience to me.
What’s wrong with Kirby Star Allies? It doesn’t try anything new, and it’s pretty tame even by Kirby standards, but it’s not broken or anything.

I’m glad to hear that. I think it’s really cool that they brought this game to modern platforms and actually put what seems like a lot of care into it. I’m a little nervous as a big fan of the original games on GameCube, but I think after the initial price drop in a few months, I’ll probably pick it up.
It’s been reported in many YouTube reviews of the games. The entire physics engine is very different as it was rebuilt in unity instead of remastering the original games. It’s possible that these guys are super-fans and are simply too used to the original versions to adjust, but it pretty widely reported that the…
Just tell me when the Jumping Flash! and Ape Escape HD remakes are coming.
And it still looks good, especially over component, since this game supports progressive scan. My family was an early adopter of a wide screen TV in 2001, and everything looked stupid on it except for DVD movies and this game :)
Rogue Leader was probably the most impressive of the launch games. But they also had Smash Bros. and Pikmin out in the following weeks, so there was something for everyone. But PS2 was having it’s best Holiday season ever at the same time in 2001, and I would hate to have launched a competing console against that game…
I’m probably just getting old, but these games don’t hold much appeal for me. I might change my mind with some hands-on time, but I can easily wait for sales. February is gonna be chill, and I’ll probably just work through the backlog.
That’s a sad story with a happy ending. When I was 10, Street Fighter 2 mania was in full swing. My best friend and I would often walk to an arcade and billiards hall a couple of blocks from his house to play. We were usually the youngest kids there, but it was an all ages establishment and we only went during…
It’s because this is a community-focused scene. Back in 2013 or whenever, the whole community came together to break Rustemyer’s records before he could claim all 32 records. This guy was clearly skilled enough to earn records, but he was scummy in the community for dropping them at once without giving other players a…
I have been going back and forth on this one. I still have the original release, and got about 2/3 of the way through before I grew tired of the repetitive dungeons and overly-involved motion control combat. In spite of the Wii Motion Plus controller (I got the gold collectors edition) this was the game that finally…
The original owner of this copy of Mario 64 is on one of the collectors groups I follow on Facebook and he seems like a pretty normal guy (well, as normal as a person who collects/sells sealed video games can be). He addressed the closing of the auction earlier today. He seemed pretty genuinely shocked at how this…
Oh my- this is EXACTLY what first came to my mind. The first advertisement I specifically recall seeing in a game for an otherwise unrelated product and also was the first time I heard of Red Bull. That was also tastefully produced advertising which was integrated into the universe of the game.
