OMG, don’t get my imagination revved up!!!
The original game was just pixel sprites. The hand drawn game was Legend of Mana, and for all of it’s pretty graphics- it was a highly forgettable game. This game retains the chibi style characters of the original game and adds dimension. 9 times out of 10 I prefer 2D sprites- but when they nail the look in 3D I will…
This looks incredible. It’s exactly what I want a classic JRPG remake to look like. Why do they so frequently miss the mark??? Please let me know this is getting English translation. I don’t even care if the voices get dubbed or not.
Reminds me of my old “Play It Loud” series clear Gameboy :)
Technically the US long box had an outer paper sleeve with that dull CG art on it, but the long cardboard box inside had the cool Designers Republic artwork. I think the condensed UK cover for the standard jewel case is still the best, though.
Fahey saves his lascivious behavior for the SNACKS...
Same.
Welp. I just got the email. Both the apologetic one from the customer care president, and then my order cancellation email confirmation :(
I got the same email. No cancellations yet. Order still processing.
Same. I actually was just reading on my phone when the email alert came in from Walmart. I ordered right through the link on my phone, as I didn’t even have time to run into the other room to boot up the computer. So far my order has not been cancelled...
If I didn’t enjoy it in 2006, are the improvements to the PS4 remaster good enough to warrant another chance?
Some would still describe modern Florida as a swampland ;)
Did you just try sneak in a wrong opinion regarding Circle of the Moon? Did you think we wouldn’t notice?!
I think it was always about aesthetics with the crayon, felt, yarn, and now with paper/cardboard diarama. But they slowed it down with a bigger emphasis on puzzles and exploration, and I’m definitely excited for it too :)
Awesome illustration :)
It’s a missed opportunity that they don’t have a Dairy Queen selling Blizzards.
Yes, a preorder is up on Amazon for $39.99 with an included soundtrack CD.
Nice. I owned a 360 primarily for the few exclusive JRPGs and the several exclusive STGs. I’m glad to see this genre spreading out to more successful platforms this gen.
Whoa, blast from the past! :) Now that the ACA Neo Geo collection is being released on modern platforms, I’ve started collecting these games on the Switch!
Interesting breakdown in the results. I think the informal demographics in this survey means Nintendo had a great idea- because of how evenly it appears to break down between docked/portable combo. I do both, personally. But I play Zelda/Mario Kart in the dock, but Neo Geo/2D platformers and Snipperclips on the go :)
