I never said VR was going anywhere. I think it has a bright future- I just don’t think that video games are going to be what brings the format into mainstream adoption :)
I see a bright future for VR, but maybe not so much for games.
Mute?
I mean, they still have to produce a box, the chip, and distribute through retail channels and they probably see less profit margin in comparison to digital (they still have licensing fees across all versions). So I don’t know if they would literally lose money, but I’m sure they still want to make the same level of…
This is really the big question. The possibility of making smaller, portable games that would typically go to the Gameboy line for the main console is a major benefit of the Switch. I use mine on the big screen at least 80% of the time, but I like the idea of smaller scale games that take advantage of the portable…
Nah, it came out in ‘89 but was pretty common by holiday 1990 when it came packed with Tetris. By ‘91 it hit critical mass and by Holiday of ‘92 (when the first game released in North America)- it was the most widely installed game platform that was currently being supported (NES was winding down and SNES and Genesis…
It’s stupid that this conversation needs to be had anymore. Anyone who argues that it doesn’t matter/isn’t offensive is actually saying that because it doesn’t affect them personally, then anyone else shouldn’t care either. They’re actually bothered that another person’s feelings are being considered first before…
This. A North American minority who plays the game isn’t likely to think that Altus is racist for this inclusion in the game, but its presence in the English translation might signal to them that the localization team was either too lazy to acknowledge it or too stupid to recognize that it has different connotations…
SNES Classic Mini CONFIRMED!
As a day-1 N64 buyer, I have trouble coming up with 30 good games on the system. I only ever had about 23 or 24 games and some of those weren’t even all that great. The system definitely has some all-time classics, but not in volume.
This is nothing new.
I’m using this for a travel case. I really wish I could have gotten the special edition case, but that set was sold out in under a day, sadly. Maybe they’ll sell it as a stand alone later, but I’m starting to doubt it.
“Shut the hell up, Dad! We eat what we like!”
SEGA Master System, NES, Genesis, Gameboy- Childhood.
This is incredible. Faith in humanity is slightly restored.
Valentine’s Day is horseshit, but $125 in store credit for a PS4 is crazy bullshit. Pardon my French.
I’m surprised you didn’t go with this video for the song:
And it’s your response that proves the technology isn’t really viable for mass market adoption yet. It’s too expensive and there isn’t enough software that takes advantage of it. If publishers aren’t ready to accept that and drop support- it isn’t the consumers fault, it’s Sony. They need to get the price down and…
Switch Majora with Wind Waker and Oracle with Minish... Maybe find a way to get Link b/w Worlds into top 4.
