I didn't mean that they literally make you replay the same missions- just that the mechanics don't change. You can unlock more powerful mods and weapons for your car and your personal weaponry, but you are always using these upgrades to achieve the exact same goals.

Funny thing is that this game is being criticized in reviews for its lack of diversity and repetitive missions. A huge empty world where you repeat the same basic missions over and over. I’ll admit that it looks fun- but I would prefer an action game that offers quality over quantity and leave the epic campaigns to

Thanks for the reply. I’ll probably pass on this, because I will certainly get worn out after 15 hours. 40 hours sounds like too much.

So, I generally like these WB action games- but I get bored of the bloat. I loved the first Arkham Asylum. The sequel was bloated- but I got through it. This recent Arkham Knight and Shadow of Mordor? I got bored around 2/3 of the way through. These games- with their repetitive missions and lack of diverse levels-

You're parked on the sidewalk! The sidewalk!!!

Is this a new revelation to people?

I’m a Dreamcast truther: it was an inside job.

I will buy any new Pikmin title on any Nintendo platform . This is great news :D

Thanks a lot! Congratulations on your new addition, as well :)
I mostly play single-player games, so I’ll be hovering my thumb over the pause button when I play. I may switch over to portables for a while because they are so easy to pause whenever and pick-up when my hands are free.

I’m planning on playing MGSV all month and maybe some Mother 3 on the side (I picked up a cheap repro cart on eBay).

Too late, Batman. Metal Gear is eating your lunch.

Came here for Landstalker. Was not disappointed :)

Is it a physical manual, or a digital manual in the game? I can't remember the last time I got a memorable manual in a Nintendo game.

Agree, agree, agree. Everyone jokes about the eye strain- but if you pause or get a drink of water or something every 45 minutes or so, your eyes readjust and they don’t get so strained... but the neck- oh how it destroyed the neck and shoulders...

The only one I want to play is Grow Home, so it gets my vote.

This happened to me in Witcher 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Those games got boring after 6 hours. Never finished them, never returned to them and I don’t think I’ll be playing any more games from either franchise. My solution was to sell them quickly while they still had monetary value and move on to better games

This is a great article, and even though this conversation has been ongoing for a few years now- it is important to revisit the issue from time to time.

I agree that reviews can harm a developer- but I’m glad to see the finger being pointed at publishers for a change. Metacritic is a great resource for consumers.

Such a lie. Games have been censored/altered for international releases for 30 years. Microsoft just won’t admit that they don’t want spend the money on translating/marketing/distributing a game that will ultimately lose money for them in Japan.

Final Fantasy Hugging Simulator

Is there a downloadable demo for this? I really want to love this game because I just love the style, but I haven’t found a rogue-like that has made me want to play for more than an hour or two at most and I’m not sure about the gameplay I’ve seen. I guess I can just wait a few months and get it free on PS+.
