It couldn't be any worse than Michael Bay's interpretations...

Maybe the first Resident Evil. Cliche, I know- but it really was the first survival-horror game that I experienced, and I never played a game before it that legitimately spooked me. Taking away your ammo, giving you limited inventory, limiting the number of times that you can save your game, putting you in danger by

I dunno. Back in '98 I got one of these funny car stereos for my '91 Honda Accord and it blew my 16-year-old mind. Transforming car stereos- it was like living in THE FUTURE, MAN.

Zelda Mousetrap or GTFO.

I'm actually OK with an all-female cast.

Just chiming in to add that this is very much appreciated. I mean, if I see this article while I'm at home, I'll just watch the video so these content creators can get paid, but sometimes you just can't watch a video and in those moments, having a text option is just fantastic. High fives.

Bleh. Not that I have any interest in renting digital titles, but even if I did, I would never use this platform at these prices.

If you had read the article, you wouldn't need to ask this question.

Rad. I know McWhertor left Kotaku nearly 3 years ago to get Meat Bun going full-steam (before joining the rest of the old Kotaku gang at Polygon). I'm glad to hear that Meat Bun is going strong, I haven't seen new designs over there for a while now- and this seems very similar, so I was just jumping to that

So is this the new Meat Bun?

Sponge Bolo.

I think Double Dash is pretty much tied with DS and Wii for my least favorite in the series. I love the original Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64 the best. Mario Kart 8 is right behind. I think Super Circuit and 7 are tied for 3rd.

Absolutely amazing considering that this is the work of two people. Maybe they should find a third person to handle character design, though. I'm not loving the character design.

Did you mean to put Pixel Junk Shooter or Sidescroller here. You have the image and title of Shooter, but your description is clearly of Sidescroller. Fix it, please.

Probably because there's no good games. I can't understand why anyone in any country would buy a PS4 or Xbone at this time, since there is still a serious lack of quality software. Japanese gamers seem like a bunch of informed consumers in light of this news.

The simplicity and relative lack of direct interaction kind of reminds me of Seaman :)

It's a slow month for new releases that I'm interested in. I plan on finishing up Shovel Knight in the coming week or so. I'm also replaying the original Yoshi's Island on SNES (gotta take advantage of that new Retron 5) and working my way through the backlog. I'm just starting to give Nier a try. It's charming, so

I wouldn't call this look "hipster". More like "burner"- as in the people who are a little too into Burning Man.

Cool. I binged the entire Avatar original series a couple years ago on Netflix and I really liked it. I haven't watched any of the new series, but I'll be sure to watch it as soon as it's streaming. As for the game, I'll play (and probably love) just about anything made by Platinum. I like it when quality movies/TV

I really enjoy it when a challenging game makes it feel like a huge victory just to reach the final boss- only to have the last boss be really defenseless and weak. It's like you've already conquered their forces and then you've finally got them cornered and they have nothing left to throw at you. It makes for a
