The fallacy of relative privation is one of my pet peeve fallacies. It’s such an obvious one, and yet people keep using and falling for it.

I disagree that they’re all too old for this. Jordyn is 22. 19/20/21 when it all went down. This is the exact drama early 20-somethings would get in.

I would assume the guy pouring the $250 drink has to have nice clothes and haircut and not fuck it up, at all, while the guy doing the $10 drink can be wearing a dirty tshirt and as long as most of it winds up in the glass he’s good.

Agree that there is no way a single move of their wrist is worth $50.

If you can afford the $250 drink, you can afford the tip. But buy the bottle instead. If a single pour costs $250, the bottle probably costs $500 - 1000 and you will get 12 large pours instead of 1 small one.

I love that series too because I like seeing how far money goes in different parts of the country (it’s why I like House Hunters - I like seeing what the COL is in different areas) and personal finance and budgeting is an interest of mine.

Even with water only types, I always add a few tablespoons of milk to the powder and then stir it until it forms a thick chocolate slurry. Then I add my boiled water.
