Hey, Jesus never handed out free fish!*

I might have missed it, but did anyone involved in displaying this have the subjects’ or their families’ permission? I hate to think that private nude pictures of me might be posted publicly in 45 years. GAHH.

Also, that hair is magnificent.

I really want to go to Sri Lanka anyway so my husband and I joke we're going to take the stone on a birthright trip :)

Ha. You can judge me. It's pretty and shiny and I like it, and I like that's it's different. It was supposedly ethically sourced, but I know there's no way to be 100% sure.

I was actually kidding about the smugness. Boy, you're a humorless bunch. But since you asked, it's an ethically-sourced one from Sri Lanka. There's no way to be 100% sure but I'm comfortable with it. It's beautiful.

It's from Sri Lanka. They do have human rights protections for the mining industry, but there's no way to really know the ethics of this particular stone.

I was actually kidding...

I love that article. It's mind-blowing. What an artificial industry.

Christopher was such a piece of shit!

Yeah... I don't think I'm cut out to be a parent of teenagers. I just told my husband if our kids pull this they're getting to spend their summers volunteering in Zambia.

I was judging these posts, but then I remembered I cried really hard when Mike was killed on Breaking Bad, so I've still got it.

God, those are two ridiculously beautiful people. If ever there was a threesome I'd want to be part of, that would be it. Although we might have to make it a foursome and invite Jamal.

GOD YES. I fucking HATE destination weddings. I love to travel, but I'd rather gnaw off my own arm than go to some god forsaken all-inclusive resort in cancun (ok, maybe that's a bit dramatic, but I have some big ethical issues with all-inclusives).

I think she's very brave and amazing for using her celebrity to inform women about these health issues. Many women feel so much shame at having these operations - she's owning it, she's up front about it - it's refreshing. I didn't know about some of these genetic tests until she wrote about it. You'd better believe

One thing I really liked about the original piece though was that she wrote it in such a way as to be very understandable to people who aren't med students - anyone reading this can understand because she left out the jargon. I really liked that about the piece.

Great choice! It's stunning and the people are lovely. I was in a wedding party for a wedding there and it was amazing!

I'm assuming you're Indian American, though, right? Indian weddings are AMAZING. I dream of being invited to a wedding like yours :)

Peony people are also the same kind of crazy!
