They probably aren’t taking a huge loss, if any. They are dealing in bulk and integrated chips. They aren’t buying up whole graphics cards and plugging them into a standard slot, they are negotiating licenses, integrating chips, and saving a ton on hardware, support, marketing and more.

With that logic, they should be docked pay when things are slow.
