There’s a guy near me with an M5 and a Demon, it’s totally ying and yang. The Demon just doesn’t compete with GT cars like the M5 at all really. Fun comparo though.

It’s more a modern e46 M3 than 2002. Power, weight, dimensions are pretty much the same.

Yeah, true the GT has more power. With that said, it isn’t outrageously faster. I mean, we’re talking 12.9@111 (M240) vs 12.7@115 (GT). Faster, but the M240 is 200 pounds lighter and is really making more like 380 hp/400 lb-ft If dinan dyno’s of stock M240’s are correct. The BMW will get about 25ish combined whereas…

I am a BMW guy first and foremost. I cannot deny the strong appeal of the new Mustang GT.

Why would anyone pick this over a GT, youjust get more for your money with the 5.0L. Same real-world mpg (my buddies GT gets 33mpg) and for like $40k u can get a gently used GT with a tune with even more power. Have you driven one? As far as compact cars go, they’re pretty good. Better than a Corolla of the same year in my opinion, and that seems to be the standard ‘I know nothing about cars’ vehicle.
