Yeah. It may seem brutal because you can’t always control your Internet connection, but it’s not fair to the other player to force a rematch. If your Internet drops, tough titties, you lose.

Way back when I bought Star Wars: Galaxies. And Warhammer Online. Also bought TMNT Arcade for the 360. Can I play any of them today? Nope. And there wasn’t even an option to buy TMNT Arcade physically I don’t think. Nature of the online gaming beast.

OK, but sometimes you just can’t deliver on a pitch. Or maybe you change your mind about that pitch for whatever reason. It’s not factually correct to say that they delivered on their original pitch when they didn’t, but “they lied to us” isn’t exactly a healthy narrative either. People are allowed to pivot their

Yes, but maybe it doesn’t make sense for a multi-million dollar studio to be developing and supporting it. Let’s say it’s got a profit of $250K annually. That’s not nothing, but it sort of is to a company like BioWare. So they farm it out where it can thrive with a smaller team and more focus on it.

I agree with you, but even then that timeline weirdness is a product of the stories that came after the OT when they realized they couldn’t quite fit what they wanted to do in the framework of what came before it. Luke asking Leia about her mother is a great example. It’s obvious that she knew her for some brief time

That’s a really good point. Only Luke could really get through to him. And it’s also plausible that Vader pulled his punches to some extent on the Death Star because he didn’t really want to hurt Luke.

She slows them and does more dps with her actual ice stream, but yeah no more freezing except during her ult.

If you think about the intent of the story back when it was written, it’s certainly plausible that George intended Luke to be the last actual Jedi still alive. It makes sense in that story for Luke to be “the guy.” For there to be another 50 Jedi running around kind of cheapens the narrative that Luke is the only

The game is still successful

I just wish we’d get the freeze and flashbang back. Personally feel like the OW2 changes made both characters much less fun to play and effectively removed two effective Reaper counters.

The one at the very top is giving Bryce Dallas Howard to me.

I am so happy to see the reception the game is getting and the hype ahead of its release was awesome to see as well. I’ve always counted Street Fighter as one of my favorite series of all time, but I feel like SF5 just sucked the soul out of it for 7 years. Nothing like a great comeback story!

I hadn’t thought of it that way but that’s a great point. Some of those callouts can actually be pretty helpful. There are several meters you have to pay attention to and now they have stuff like Manon’s medal buildup and Kimberly’s sprays also.

I first saw this guy’s IG maybe 3 months ago. It’s wild. How does he even go about finding some of these incredibly obscure things? I don’t know if he’s ever talked about it. Maybe even a trade secret.

I might be a ways away from that. I don’t even have the first sage power.

That’s where I am on it. By reflex I accidentally hit the update thing when it asked me. Thank god it also had me confirm I wanted to close the game before applying the update and I came to my senses very quickly.

I’m so excited to see how the competitive scene evolves. That was one thing that just really bummed me out about SF5. It felt like so many of the SF4 players abandoned it or just weren’t competing at a high level. The attrition of guys like Mike Ross really hurt it. I know we should just be happy we lived through that

That’s what we all thought about Trump in 2016 and you see how that turned out. We’ve got to avoid that kind of thinking. It lets people make excuses for why they don’t vote.

I’m with you there. I was thinking last night that I haven’t really appreciated the series in two decades, so I was wondering why I was surprised that this new one isn’t exactly lighting my excitement on fire. I had some fun with XII but didn’t finish it. Didn’t care for XIII or its sequels at all. Bounced off of XV.

Oh boy, more live service games. And so happy the microtransactions market is banging, I’m really looking forward to more of that too.
