Ah, that makes sense. Did not know they were wiping the era from existence, and that seems incredibly stupid. Age of Apocalypse was a really cool story, IMO, but very short overall. It’s weird as hell to try and wipe a continuity arc that’s 5 years old.

Lapsed reader, but wanting to get back into it -- can anyone explain why the end of the Krakoa era is viewed negatively?

I always thought it was funny that they kept comments off on nuDeadspin. I can only imagine what the comments sections would’ve looked like.

I remember hearing about Pokemon back when it exploded in the 90's and someone explained it to me as “people get their animals together to fight each other” and I was immediately turned off. Ended up watching the anime and loved it and have been a massive fan of Pokemon ever since. I remember how funny and “adult” it

The carts themselves aren’t rare, but how many sealed versions are there just laying around? That’s got to account for a lot. I wouldn’t think $288K a lot, but still.

I’d like to see them shave the Push match time down from 10 minutes to 0.

I was going to say Mint Chocolate Chip, but the cookie dough is great too.

That was the most head-scratching thing for me. You’re trying to set up the next supervillain for your cinematic universe and he does the job to a few of the 2nd tier Avengers. It’s kind of a weird way to get people pumped up about the next villain. I get that that was “warlord Kang” and not Kang Kang or whatever, but

I never really get complaints like this or ones about articles not being “video game centric” enough to post here. Unless you read Kotaku once a week it’s not like there’s an overabundance of articles day to day. You can just skip shit you don’t have interest in, just like I’m doing with Foamstars.

Pretty low standards for journalism these days. He’s probably got 10 million followers on TikTok though.

I’m not complaining about the science or what’s been established in canon really, I just didn’t care for it. I thought it was kind of ridiculous. But everyone’s different.

It was really a stunning film visually and so different than anything we’re used to from the Skywalker Saga. For me though it just has some moments I can’t get behind — Space Leia, Luke’s treatment, that awful Canto Bight sidequest, killing Admiral Ackbar off screen. It doesn’t function well at all as the second part

I’ve often wondered what would happen if they did a time jump and went a thousand years into the future. Tell that story. Star Trek is doing it now with Discovery, although that’s been a mixed bag.

So I get that TLJ is always going to be divisive, but even if you truly absolutely love it there’s no way it’s better than Empire.

I mean, that’s still what I do. I love Star Wars, I love Marvel, I love DC. I grew up with all of it and have enjoyed seeing how it’s evolved as I’ve gotten older. If something’s not great, eh. It’s cool. Maybe the next one will be stellar.

Yeah. I always think I want that classic turn-based gameplay but then I realize I’m in my 40s now and I don’t have the time or patience anymore. But back in the day there was nothing better.

Not sure why you’re going to die on this hill of Microsoft’s consoles not being relevant, but you do you. What Buffy said was pretty much spot on.

That’s kinda like saying it would be shitty of my company to not pay for my medical benefits even after I’m no longer an employee. There are “perks” or privileges that you get when you’re employed by a company and you lose those once you no longer work there.

That said, Blizzard cancelling a game codes as good news to me, they haven’t released a good game in nearly a decade.

Yep. But they also probably want to try as best they can to avoid all of the negative attention something like this could bring if some dipshit kills himself trying to replicate something they saw on the platform.
