Came down here to say this. It’s always the worst part of any game it’s included in. And with a series that’s known for the water temple, I’m not sure people are anxious to see anything close to it again.

I don’t really blame them for being mad at people who leak shit two weeks early and then go on and stream it. I think you’d have to heavily qualify that as “exposure” and especially for a game that doesn’t need it.

I didn’t either, but I tried a re-play about 6 months ago and also didn’t finish that mostly because I hit a wall with all of the gameplay elements I just couldn’t take anymore. At this point I’m just gonna read about it.

I don’t care too much about the size, it’s the form factor that’s annoying to me. I have it on its side in my entertainment center and any time I have to do anything in the back it comes off that stupid stand and I have to re-seat it. Very strange design.

This is one of the reasons why I’m a console gamer. I just want to put that disc in or download it and have it work right from the start. I realize that’s less and less true these days as these developers cut corners and launch broken products, but it’s nothing like what PC gamers have to deal with. I’ve been playing

...noted that fusing revealed some cumbersome controls...

“This is why the incel community will never start a movement and bring about change. It only takes one hoe to sacrifice herself and give some crumbs of pussy and the whole movement would collapse due to too many betraying,” another distraught incel wrote.

Yeah but sex might lead to attachments. So I’m sure it’s at the very least heavily frowned upon. Not to mention the risk of kids resulting from it, which is pretty much a guarantee of leading to attachments.

One of my favorite things about S3 is that it resurrected Data and undid Q’s death. They could’ve (and should’ve) brought Data back in S1 and fixed that colossal fuckup from Nemesis, but instead they got cute with it. Then realized, no, people actually really do just want to see the TNG cast come back. They have the

Strange New Worlds seems to be doing it right. As much as I loved this last season of Picard, it was effectively the same thing we’ve been seeing from Discovery for years now. There’s no reason that last season of Discovery couldn’t have just been a really interesting exploration of the status quo in the Alpha

This is a hilarious comment and I love it. Kotaku seems to have an extra special hatred for it.

I mean if you couldn’t fuck and were locked in a 10,000+ year old blood feud with a death cult that wants nothing more than your complete and utter destruction you’d probably be a sourpuss too.

I played the first one, but not the second. It’s mostly a joke. It came out during the pandemic as I recall and I wasn’t going near it.

I bounced off God of War and Horizon, not depressed enough to play TLoU, but would def play the hell out of a Ghost of Tsushima sequel and can’t wait for the next Spider-Man. So I’m a little mixed. But overall agree that the general AAA experience has been very lacking lately.

Based on the number of them that come out and the relative splash they make, I think they’re very healthy. Vampire Survivors is a good example. Hades. GamePass is usually stacked with them.

If the Xbone ones are wireless that might be part of it too. Glad you have engineering friends. I could’ve used that when my friend’s cat chewed my $150 fighting stick USB cable a decade ago. Man that hurt.

Did they not take it down? Or did you get the play time in before that? I think it’s a cool idea, I just don’t like how all these freemium games are propagating.

It’ll probably end up like MultiVersus. Really hot for about a minute and then you’re like, “Oh I forgot about that game” when Kotaku posts several months later that their user numbers cratered due to lack of content and the fact that absolutely no one likes this bullshit model.

It has problems (watch that shit absolutely creeeaaaaaaakkkk along at higher turn numbers), but I put tons of hours into Birth of the Federation. There’s the blueprint in there for an absolutely perfect turn-based galaxy-spanning strategy game and I’m here for it if they ever give it another shot.

Bingo, though I didn’t even think of that until you said it. They’re going into overdrive lately with both this and the nonstop slideshows.
