One thing that I’ve discovered with all the Marvel and Star Wars stuff coming out on Disney+ is that TV is a perfect medium for a lot of these things that 10 years ago would’ve automatically been movies. It’s a little less sexy, but if you want to give something room to breathe then TV is a great option.

That’s what nostalgia will do for you. It’s not a coincidence that everyone thinks that cartoons from their childhood and music from their teens are so much better than what’s coming out now.

I don’t know what regular CBT stands for so not seeing the problem.

No offense, but after reading most of this (and the tidbit about not liking BOTW) I’m going to have to say the problem is with you and not the games.

I don’t know if it works like it did in Sword Shield (the first time they did this I believe), but you still have to go to the Pokemon Center to heal them. Moving them from bag to box and back to bag doesn’t refresh anything.

I’ve been struggling a bit lately with games that just don’t babysit you. Metroid Dread. Super Metroid. The original Legend of Zelda. All classics of course (jury is maybe maybe still out on Dread) but just very different to approach when you’re my (our) age and your career/family eclipse your free gaming time.

I understand that my gaming tastes are not everyone’s, but I’ve never really understood remakes of games like these. We’ve already had the chance to catch and train any of the Pokemon from this gen probably countless times in subsequent games. Presumably none (or at least comparatively few) of the Pokemon from later

It’s coming back to me now, that’s right. I was initially thinking the cancer thing was during Covid, but it was actually before and he stepped away during the pandemic because of being at higher risk.

Hopefully Impact is treating them right. I always enjoyed them as a tag team and probably even more just as personalities backstage.

When Andrade left I wondered if she wanted to leave too, but it didn’t seem necessarily imminent. Then all of the chatter you hear about being unhappy with the booking makes it look worse. Then Ric being released I felt was probably one of the last straws remaining. That little flap with Becky doing the title exchange

That’s interesting, I didn’t know that. Vince reminds me of an old boss I used to have. Brilliant but insane, and doesn’t understand how anyone he employs isn’t singularly focused on their job and their job only

So sorry for your loss :( I think we all tend to forget sometimes that the things we dislike or are unsatisfied with might bring joy and happiness to someone who’s going through the worst thing imaginable.

I can’t find it now, but read something recently-ish that it was actually Peyton Royce pushing the breakup and that she regretted it after the fact. So if that can be believed, at least that absolves WWE creative of that specific blunder.

Was it the cancer thing or the heel turn? I feel like it was the heel turn that finally got the crowd in Roman’s corner.

A little surprised that Mustafa Ali and Ricochet haven’t been released yet. Two phenomenally talented performers relegated to the lower midcard or pre-show because they’re not hoss enough to get Vince hard. I could see Charlotte getting released at some point too, which would’ve been unthinkable even a year ago.

Exactly. The pinnacle of storytelling but I think also gameplay. They proved they could add a new class and it just worked. Northrend was great. But ultimately I think the lore just really shined. Paying off on the buildup from years of Warcraft games. Just so good.

That’s when the couple recalled visiting Las Vegas and hitting up the video games at the Luxor Hotel with friends around 20 years ago.

Part of the problem I think is that they’ve pumped out largely rote expansions for WoW for years now and it feels like they’ve only just discovered with BfA that that doesn’t quite work anymore and by that time it was probably too late to pivot Shadowlands. So obviously they need a shift of focus there since they

I have a natural dislike for most streamers (maybe unfairly) because of people like PewDiePie and DrDisrespect, but if you have a streamer who actually cares about the game and not just the attention then they could be helpful. Similar with “famous” people. But yeah, ideally it comes from players who don’t have a

I mean it probably is at least in part a way for them to look like they care without actually caring and say “Hey look guys, we’re trying!” but there can also be some benefit to it.
