Coming into this episode, I had decided that this was going to be the tipping point for me. The hype surrounding the cliffhanger and the prospects of the survivors being added to Negan's horde of slaves had turned me off. The show had 60 minutes to convince me not to bail… and I almost bailed. Because the reason

This is why we can't have anything nice, America.

Is Vern acceptable?

Great Job, Corporate Synergy!

Suddenly I'm envisioning a weird mashup of a typical late-night show and Pink Lady and Jeff.

Jesus people only read one book… and it's debatable as to how many of them even read that one.

What a guy.
Makes you cry.
And I did.

Indeed. If Steinman had had his way, it would have taken up an entire side of the record.

Which makes absolutely no sense as he was much heavier for Bat I than he was for Bat II.

I try VERY hard to separate Meat Loaf from his politics. Most of the time I'm able to succeed.

Hey, that live album Styx did with REO Speedwagon was epic and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.

For me the bigger "what if" is "What if Steinman had let Meat Loaf record 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now' for Bat Out Of Hell II (or even Welcome To The Neighbourhood) rather than giving it to Celine Dion?" The version that ended up on Bat III doesn't cut it, IMO; Marion Raven was a terrible choice of a duet partner.

I don't disagree about "Bad For Good", but I think the version that made its way onto Bat III (featuring Brian May) was pretty good.

Ah, so THAT's where America got that from!

Damn. And I just thought he was an Eric Lindros fan.

Right. Twitch did a marathon of the entire series a while back to celebrate the launch of their Creative section, and they still marathon a season at a time on Mondays.
