I daily drive my BRZ year-round here in Chicago, and it’s an absolutely blast in the snow! And yes, I go ice racing up in Wisconsin too! (I’m on plain ol’ studless winter tires, which have come a LONG way and will surprise you with how much grip they can offer, even on ice.)

95 RON isn’t anything special, it’s just 90-91 AKI fuel, 98 RON is also only 93-94 AKI fuel or the same as mid grade and premium fuels here basically but they only use the research octane number for fuel octane ratings at the pump as opposed to research plus motor octane numbers divided by 2.

I’ve read in other articles that they are asking people to call it a ‘Roots-type compressor’ rather than a supercharger, because it is operating at very low pressures compared to a typical supercharger.

That would be interesting, but not an easy question to answer. For the average joe it would be very costly and probably not worth the risk, but for a professional shop/business that does this for a living they could make a lot of money just due to scale and expertise. Especially if you could narrow it down to one
