Fr-s driver here. I do 6>2 shifts a lot. I have to. I want fuel economy, but I also need to get out of my own way because the car is dead until 5K. So yea. F if the synchros don’t like it. Either I push in the clutch and spend several seconds going down through 6>5>4>3>2 and holding up traffic or getting rear ended,

Too bad people aren’t buying their crossovers either. Gorgeous cars; terrible dealer network.

Yup. They have short lives and they are bred to have such large breasts that they also can’t even mount other turkeys to mate.

I do find this aspect troubling. We see it a lot in police videos. Yes, they have to access the radio and might need to get their gun, but also both hands on the wheel would make me a little more comfortable.

I’d need more info on that 13,000 death figure. What is a “by-standard?” The person driving, passengers in the fleeing car, people hanging out on the sidewalk, grandmas sitting at the light? Also, how many of those bystandard deaths are attributed to the fleeing suspect and how many to police?

Is “sport tex” or other faux leathers like those found in VW products actually leather?

How is it that engineers can design complex systems made of thousands of tiny moving parts that are exposed to tremendous forces of torque and rapid shifts in temperature, salt, rain, hot asphalt, etc, and will last for more than 100,000 miles without any need for maintenance, but the 2 year old refrigerator in my

If I’m not mistaken, based on previous articles, the electric motor drives a compressor to feed air into the engine, not to provide actual power to the wheels or crankshaft.

That’s great.

Hey, I know nothing i or anyone else will do can help the 1% of people that contribute to 50% of traffic problems. The fact that they manage to find their keys each day is a big step forward for all of society :D

Oh, I don’t tailgate. That’s a defensive move. You gotta learn to play frogger to get around slower people.Be the agressor! Its largely effective!

Nashville area. The truth is, I think, that people mistake how and when to use the HOV lane. They think: I have 2 people in the car, therefor use the HOV lane and drive whatever speed, despite the signs clearly marking that they’re active only during select times. The rest of us think: Fast lane.

Hello person that gets onto the interstate and blindly merges across 4 lanes of traffic, cutting people off and not looking over their shoulder, all to get into the left lane and drive 10 under the speed limit while looking confused and angry as to why anyone would be on their ass !

From these photos and previous “leaks,” it looks like black tape to hide some of the detailing. As mentioned already, you have to ask why at this point are they bothering to cover anything. But yea, imagine it being body color.

Rigidity... That’s basically it. These cars use more material in the body to make it feel more solid and to allow the engineers to more precisely dial in handling characteristics.

I just built the Cayman I would buy. $62,000

Most ISP’s still suck. I really can’t see this being practical.

I remember my parents sending me to swap tanks at the gas station and having to put the tank in the passenger foot well of my Ford Contour so I could keep hold onto it with one hand so it wouldn’t roll around or hit the door too hard.

I’m more interested in real world gains. We know that the Ford EcoBoost motors aren’t hitting those numbers, so I image the e Torque system having more practical applications, especially given it lacks the weight disadvantages of a system with hundreds of pounds of batteries.

You forgot the Toyota Venza.
