In America, I’d think it stands to be a very tricky case given free speech laws and the body of precedence around parody. I’d think there’d be a place to carve out using that speech commercially, but someone would have to figure out how to slice the pie that thin.

Yeah. I mean, there was a stir in the not-too-distant-past about deepfakes potentially being able to manipulate/alter elections and used as propaganda, etc... how is using AI recreations of people any different?

Yeah. He would have fucking hated this and so do I.

Too true. The murders weren’t even the main focus of the show in the beginning. It was the chemistry between three weirdoes who shared a common interest. The murders just brought them together. I have no idea why they decided to split them all up for this long.

I mean, in all fairness, Microsoft has done a much better job at crushing XBox than Sony, historically.

I don’t know what a Dua Lipa is and I don’t care to find out.

...and I cared even less. Though I might show up if kittycats are involved.

Is the overt syncing of sound effects with the music in trailers a new thing or am I just noticing it for the first time? I swear, I’ve seen several recent trailers that use this effect.

This is a glorious example of why I laugh every time private equity tries to defend itself. That’s been all these SW shows with the exception of Andor and Mando season 1. They really do keep leaving too much til the end.

they are “two young, unknown voice actors,” according to the trade, and Harmon wasn’t much involved in the casting, by his choice. “It’s all just sad because the goal is for it to be indistinguishable,” he told THR.

On the bright side, we went from two to three actors who decided to show up and act this week; Baylan, Shin and Mon. Everyone else is just there, not to interested in being there at that, hiding their marks and reciting their lines to get it over with.

It still feels like Peak Activision when the company posted a strong end of the year financially in 2020 in part, explicitly laid out in their quarterly report, because of the success of THPS 1+2 and Crash 4, and their conclusion was not “Hey, maybe Vicarious Visions and Beenox can remake a couple more Hawks” or “Hey
