I'm surprised you didn't mention Submarine or The Double here (and potentially The Watch, I suppose)

This definitely should be a plot point in the show btw

People like to pluralize things whether they should be or not though and now I've just realized I'm debating the accuracy of information in a fake website about a TV show and my life is now over probably.

I'll pretty much forgive Cage anything for Moonstruck and Raising Arizona alone.

I'm confused - I see plenty of "Go Cardinals" style posters and cheap-tat around Palo Alto?

I would say that it is purely cultural. I love Moone Boy so much because everything reminds me so closely of my own childhood. [Or at least, a very close approximation of it, because I'm Northern Irish and there are actually significant cultural differences in that approximately 100 mile distance.] But yes, so much of

Except that they said that "The Thick of It" would never work if Malcolm Tucker was in opposition, and it was even better than before.

You're right, Richardson is definitely embodying that same space, although with the American twist of being very sincere, compared to Jupp anyway.

Brilliant episode, this show just breezes by with almost effortless excellence. One thing I did notice about this episode was that it was basically the Eastbourne episode of The Thick of It, right down to the VIP as public relations opportunity getting shafted by politics. Although there was no happy outcome there.

There was something very terrifyingly real, about that initial donk with the hammer that Lester gives his wife - the idea that one could have that kind of momentary rush of anger very easily and then instantly do something beyond all repair in a split-second.

The Hobbit: Are We There Yet?

I was thinking he was a kind of Chris Hitchens type, although he seems to be a bit more right wing than Hitchens could ever have been accused of being. But there are lots of parallels there - lived in DC, loved a drink, Communist sympathies.

"Battlestar! Galactica" coming March 2016 starring Ben Stiller as Apollo, Owen Wilson as Starbuck, Will Ferrell as Count Baltar, Vince Vaughan as the voice of the Cylons and introducing Dr Dre as Dr Adama. From the studio that brought you Grown Ups 2!"

As much as I like the Christmas albums, Silver and Gold is pretty much the only material he's put out in 4 years, and that is not on.

I wondered a bit tonight at whether Laurel was being genuine with her apology to Blood before the debate. I really hope not, because it would basically undo one of the few things I haven't hated about her character this year.

It'll take a long time to erase the toxic memories of "no tights, no flights", but Arrow has just been the total opposite of everything that show did. Still, everytime an Arrow character says "my secret" I CRY INSIDE

OR BOTH IN THE SAME PERSON

I like how Blood has gone from seeming like a kind of ridiculous looking 'big bad' at the beginning of the season, to the point now where he's still ridiculous looking, but it actually adds to how subservient and weasily he seems, in Slade's shadow.

I should note though, that this in no way impacted on my enjoyment of the rest of the episode, which I thought was easily the best this year.

Yeah, I'll be honest, I'm normally really forgiving of Laurel's CW level acting (if anything, I'm immune to it after 10 years of Smallville) but I nearly burst out laughing at how OBVIOUSLY CONFUSED she was supposed to be. Was she trying to divide 232 by 13?
