Depending on the prices at those other stores and what you average on gas mileage, going that 12 extra miles may still work out in your favor, especially if you do like the author and use Aldi’s to stock up on staples.

Yeah, some of their stuff is great and then it just up and disappears, sometimes only for a little bit, sometimes forever.

I’ve been a dedicated Aldi’s shopper for years, but alas, my heart (and wallet) may have found another: a competing chain, also out of Germany, Lidl is basically Aldi’s on steroids. They tend to be cheaper on most things than even Aldi’s. There isn’t one really close to me, but my sister lives near one and she picks

I like thier Indian simmer sauces (their Tikka Masala makes for a good dish). Aldi’s produce is their best feature. Their meats have gotten better but in the beginning they tended to be a little bit higher than what you’d want to pay. And their canned goods are great.

I’ve always wondered why Pyrex didn’t take the obvious step of etching the markings into the side of their measuring cups as well as painting them on. Like not even a super deep etch, just enough that when/if the paint chips or fades you can still measure with it.

I’m instinctively suspicious of anyone or anything that self-describes as ‘wacky’. Ditto ‘zany’, ‘free-spirited’, or ‘crazy’.

See, this is trolling done right. Somewhat dickish but in a fun, playful way and no one gets hurt.

I disagree. Most grocery stores have a ‘dollar aisle’ so i don’t see this affecting their business much. I think even at these Plus locations the vast majority of the things on sale are still going to be $1. There’s just going to be some extra stuff that’s a little more costly but still probably cheaper than just

Glad you liked them. Dollar tree has upped their game over the last 10 years. Some of their food items are still questionable in terms of taste/quality but some stuff is pretty decent. The frozen stuff is hit and miss. Plus some DT’s carry a lot of name brand stuff now. Allegedly they are supposed to be rolling out

Listen, if I’m going to die before my time I’d rather it be at the hands of Krispy Kreme than the coronavirus.

Dude, have you ever been around someone who eats Doritos? Those fucking orange goatees they sport tell a different story about them touching their faces.

Now would be a great time to take stock in lotion companies. With everyone having to stay in, keep their distance, and apparently stress eating is off the table as well, I think ‘compulsive masturbation’ is about to have a moment, so to speak.

Just to add some favorites of my own:

Not to mention its just wrong on the facts. Sanders has a well documented history of smaller accomplishments in adding on meaningful amendments to other bills which have made a difference. The fact that he hasn’t single-handily pushed through legislation in his career is not a knock against him. A better question is

God, Book It. I remember trying so hard for that fucking pizza! Maybe that’s why a lot of our generation got so fat.

Yep. They’re marking up the food before anything additional charges. If anything, you’d think it’d be smart to maybe offer a slight discount if you order take out to goose that side of the business and to offset the delivery costs a little.

They need to send him off with a 21 Rocket Pop salute.
