It’s funny how many people do that though. Like they pretty much cop to the fact that their opinion is bullshit and horrible, but rather than do to me the reasonable thing of changing said opinion to a better one, they try to get it seconded so they can continue holding it.

God, I still remember that letter. It was all I could do not to punch my computer screen. I don’t mind Ortberg as Prudie but I have to say sometimes I miss the acid tongue of Emily Yoffe, the prior Prudie. She stopped short of all but calling that woman a fucking bitch in her response.

Truly he gives out the fullest of bars...

Ah another “Grow up!” hot take on Halloween! Why do people hate joy and fun? Goddamnit, let us have this!

I would probably do much the same if someone put me in a microwave on high.

Ooooh ok. You meant ‘sold out’ in the good sense.

Flip side of that is taking pictures of kids buck ass naked was considered cute back then so a lot of us have what in the present climate would possibly legally qualify as child porn of us floating around.

Context is key in my opinion. If its something that is truly traumatic or ridiculously embarrassing, then maybe give YouTube a pass on it. The racial implications of this crime aside, this is also another stark reminder of how much the ‘good guy with a gun’ idea is a myth. There were, according to the article, two different ‘good guys’ with guns and both of them did pretty much fuck all to change the outcome of this horrific thing. One the suspect fired

Ok, do not let your fucking pets roam people. If the go outside, either a) be with them so you can keep and eye on them and go after them or b) fence in your yard (not applicable to cats, bastards can climb a fence) or c) have them tethered with a line to something.

I don’t think that is as wide spread as you assume. Maybe in more urban areas but I’ve never heard of having to have a license for my dog where I live. Rabies shots on the other hand...
