I delivered pizza for an on campus food services pizza place during college and man, it suuuuuuucked. Wanna know why? because they could call in an order and pay using their meal account. I did that job for like 2 years and I might have cleared a grand total of $20 in tips for the entire duration.

Yep, absolutely. There are so many factors that go into who is the bigger douche in this scenario. Are you having to go up an ungodly amount of stairs? Or just a few? Is it easy to find the apartment in question? Etc. etc. And I’m with you 100% about how apartment complexes are laid out. No actual plan that I can tell

I tried WW for a while. What I’ll give it is that its point system is pretty easy to follow (at least the classic version is, i think they redid it a while back). It took a lot of the guesswork out of what you were eating. And I managed to lose some weight on it.

Between the hog farms and the swamps, eastern NC already kind of smells like ass, so this ain’t helping.

Boooooo. Who are these fucking narc teens and where are they so I can wedgie them good! In my own neck of the woods no less. Does anyone really think that teens that are buying this shit out of confusion? Or that the people looking the other way when they sell it are doing so because they don’t realize its alcoholic?

There are few things in life more annoying than getting a loaf of bread and having that bitch go moldy like 2 days after you get it.

Oh absolutely. That’s why when people say shit to me like ‘Hey you’re a pretty good cook, ever consider opening a restaurant?’ my response is always ‘Not in the slightest’. I’ve worked in restaurants and in food service and there is a world of difference logistically, financially, and in terms of things like time

Oh I can very well imagine, but my point was that at a certain level of volume, the typical home kitchen (unless you have a very big, very, very nice home kitchen with some top of the line/just shy of professional grade equipment) isn’t going to be able to produce the amount of food that would get you into the $50k

Yep, that was kind of my original point, but then Steeplejackass and his buddies jumped in with their ‘well actually’ bullshit. I’m sure they get just this worked up over all other forms of fraud and waste of governmental programs. Particularly the ones that aren’t for the direct benefit of poor people.

Fly-over means the midwest dipshit. North Carolina is a coastal state.

I’m glad that they took the sensible approach of making plastic straws available on demand rather than a blanket ban. A lot of advocates for the disabled sounded the alarm about the harm a blanket ban would cause and it appears California took that into consideration.

Where the hell do you even get Midwest from? I’m from rural North Carolina and by the way I did grow up poor so piss off with your idea that I’m some upper-middle-class kid trying to ‘mansplain’ to you. I stand by my assessment that SNAP fraud is isolated, i.e. most people on SNAP do not engage in fraud. I never said

I stand behind what I said. 1.5% is isolated in the context of what is spent overall but people keep harping on it all the while ignoring more wide spread cases of fraud and waste of money. So sub out whatever term you care to that means the same thing.

Oh fuck off you sanctimonious prick. I never said there wasn’t any abuse at all and you damn well know it. You’re the one putting fucking words into my mouth and whenever I show your dumb ass up with actual facts that prove you wrong, you move the goal posts to keep from looking like an idiot. And no, I don’t really

You’re saying that there must be more abuse because....reasons that you fail to elaborate on. So I’m asking you to provide something other than your limited experience to back it up. Which you don’t. Repeatedly.

The 1.5% is what is estimated to have actually occurred based on rigorous examination of data by the USDA. Your cutesy comment about ‘what’s been caught’ is largely bullshit because it can’t be proven. Don’t just pull shit out of your ass and not back it up. If you actually have some hard numbers proving the rate of

Why is this less complicated than just hand forming the meat around the skewer again?

A couple of points:

I suppose I’m being a bit more hyperbolic than is necessary. I’m not really thinking that people are straight up trying to fool people, rather that they’re just going overboard with their own branding and stuff.

“At least you got a boat out of the deal”
