I’m afraid that the push for no new ICE sales will quickly result (10-15year time frame) to the elimination of all ICE vehicles, regardless of age, on public roads through either legislation or lack of infrastructure or a combination of both.

I agree 15 years is maybe doable in a competitive setting where there is huge financial incentive (like the cell phone industry), but from a largely uncompetitive government regulated industry? No way.
