Sometimes people point fake guns at the cops because they’re trying to commit suicide.

Of course pulling a real-looking gun on the cops is a terrible idea. But in most other parts of the civilized world, that would result in the cops taking cover, yelling at you to drop the weapon, and attempting to sort out the situation rather than immediately using lethal force.

Why is everyone saying he pulled it on the cops? All it says is that he pulled it out of his waistband. Sounds like he didn’t even have time to point it or even drop it, so unless someone can point me to a more detailed report, no one knows what he was about to do with it.
