He is probably used to getting away with behaving like that because of his role within his church. People probably don’t DARE question his behavior. She is young and attractive, and much smaller than he is physically - he thought he had a right to put hands on her.

I feel like there must be an interesting story behind this.  Here is my wild guess:

Sean Spicer probably loved that. I know a couple people who knew him when he was younger - and their take on him is that he loves to be “controversial”. Like, getting a rise out of people is exactly what he wants. He gets a thrill from provoking people. I guess kinda like trolls?

Oh no! This is terrible. There has been some mighty fine reporting around these here pages. In these times when even the New York Times has Alt-right apologia in its opinion pages, it is refreshing to see pieces that don’t pretend there are “pros and cons” of racism, misogyny, and totalitarianism.  

Oh no!  We need MORE reporting, not LESS in this world. :-(

Yeah, no - no the same. I am a lawyer too. It is not analogous for a number of reasons. In addition, I would like to point out that Lawyers are actually NOT supposed to lie on behalf of their clients. 

It wasn’t because of Sanders’ “political views”. It was because of the specific actions Sanders has deliberately taken as an individual to cover-up and further the atrocities being committed by this administration.

I have wondered about what was up with WaPo and NYtimes “unpopular opinion” type pieces lately. I think you have figured it out:

I see your point, but I think this situation is completely different than refusing service to someone because they are gay, or Black. Denying service to an entire category of people just because of the way they were born - like being gay, or being Black - is VERY different than being held accountable as an individual…

I don’t think the restaurant asked her to leave because was a Republican per se - but rather because of the things she herself has done. It wasn’t that a “Republican” was asked to leave, but that Sarah Sanders specifically was asked to leave because of the actions that she has personally taken in furthering…

It seem like something must be missing from this story.  Saying something to one person - even in a text - is not really the same as publicly accusing someone of things. Like, if I heard some gossip and told a friend what I heard, that should not be held to the same standard as something I say to a reporter, or…

Also, I want to know more about the auspices under which they examined the company’s employee records. Did they have a warrant? Was it some kind of administrative agency that doesn’t need a warrant?

Sending people with guns after a kid who survived a school shooting is unbelievably cruel. It would be a horrible thing to do in any instance, but it somehow seems worse when the target likely has some trauma from a shooting.
