It’s a pretty fun movie. It’s stupid and cartoony which is often the case with 90s big budget action movies so your ability to appreciate (or tolerate) that kind of campiness makes a big difference. Dennis Hopper is ridiculous but great as always.

I really liked Waterworld when I saw it in the theater. I still do. It had some issues, but nothing that couldn’t have been fixed in the editing room.
