The thing that always baffles me about bad writing is... presumably this person has read a bunch of books; how did nothing about how professionals write actually manage to sink in?

I wonder how often publishing execs go “Fuck it, I can write a book too.”

Knives Out was badly written? You really want to criticize someone else's writing?

I hope none of you are thinking Ringo Starr is a progressive because I just uncovered a 1964 Liverpool music press interview where he called adult women “birds.”

“Groom” is becoming one of those overused words. It used to mean an older person in power manipulating a younger person using the power they have over them to normalize their terrible behavior. Now it seems to mean “any time we dun got fooled.”

If you’re a master groomer you can. You gotta be a master groomer though. otherwise, you might strain something.

Can you groom parents? Isn't it just manipulation at that point? They should know better... Anyway all of this is bad
