It may be strange, but this film has become something of a Super Bowl Sunday ritual for me. Terrific thriller. Given the kind of film it is, Oscars may have been out of the question, but watch the scene where Bruce Dern breaks down after having to tell Marthe Keller that he was replaced as pilot and tell me he wasn’t

No mention of the classic 70's era John Williams soundtrack when he was at the top of his game. Great, suspenseful score from the master.

Uh, excuse me? “Thumbs up” is a reference to Little Jack Horner pulling a plum from a Christmas pie. By making that gesture you’re clearly announcing who you side with in the War on Christmas. 

a bizarre kind of performance art where he grows “new and unexpected organs” and then lets people watch as he has them removed.

Part 3 was that rare sequel that actually improved the previous entries in the series.

You know, it’s been ages since I had any thoughts at all about Clerks, but suddenly I’m right there listening to Randal order the next batch of movies.

As a kid, I remember getting excited about Ford showing up for an interview on late night TV only to be disappointed by how much he clearly didn’t want to be there. It says a lot about how much I’ve changed that I’m now delighted by how few fucks Harrison Ford has to give these days.

His acting wasn’t bad at all. He didn’t display emotion because one of the points of the film is that Deckard is behaving more like a machine than the robots he’s hunting.
