The momentum exists because EVs are better vehicles.

The focus on CEO salaries is probably good for their PR, and definitely taps into the “eat the rich” mentality...but paying them $1 isn’t going to solve the problem.

It doesn’t matter how well-made an ugly car is. It’s still an ugly car.

They jumped on the EV hype train that kind of already left the station. So now they are trying to catch up but instead of using a horse or car, they are just running after it.

I’m okay with it. Leave the subwoofer by the curb in the evening and it won’t last the night. Some more “fitting” wheels and tires can be swapped. I won’t buy it but there is a market for the look. It will sell for close to asking.

Well...certainly not if I buy it.

Re: 1st gear - speculative stock with no profits. It’s not investing at this point yet, it’s gambling.

Honest question — If Gas Tax is used to pay for highway infrastructure in the State and EV’s do not require Gas - thus the owners do not pay any gas tax to help pay for infrastructure. How do you propose the state collect funds from vehicle owners to pay for highway infrastructure?

Wait, they sent little robots scurrying around a college campus, with actual college students living there? And they sent more little robots around LA, to contend with flocks of bored teenagers and irritable hungry folks?

Well they did see the end of their livelihood looming over them.

I’ve never seen the point of the Colorado.

I came here to say just this. My understanding is that most cow leather is a food production byproduct. So unless people abandon beef as a protein source, it doesn’t seem inhumane or counter to environmental concerns to not use the hides for practical purposes.

Sedans. They might stick around in the luxury market a little bit longer, since luxury buyers tend to be older and behind the times, but I think we are looking at the last generation of three-box vehicles. This should make WRX wagon fans rejoice.

For our sake we had better hope the CCP managedsto contain the contagion in their real estate market. Much of the news and data are suppressed there but what has managed to leak suggests its bad. And I mean really REALLY bad. The way ordinary people invest in China is totally different than the US and most other

this is all to be expected as the industry grows, and doesn’t reflect a dip in consumer interest

1st Gear:

Agreed.

They are, for the most part, significantly more expensive then their ICE counterparts. Wanna buy a $41,000 Platinum trim Nissan Rogue AWD? That Platinum AWD Ariya is $62,000. A Tesla Model 3 at $40,000 or a loaded Toyota Corolla Hybrid for $27,000. Biggest issue is manufacturers not producing the smaller cheaper

As I made my choice, it was exactly 50-50 at 350 votes. I can understand why people are so torn about this.

You had me right up until “rebuilt title”.   Perhaps irrational, but an automatic ND from me at that point.
