Would like to see less political comments. You are an automotive site, stick to automobiles.

Well said. Thank you.

Gonna miss you guys. Looking forward to whatever it is.

Some of us old people like to say “they don’t build them like they used to”, to which I say “thank goodness they don’t”. It was crap then and still is now. No dice at any price.

That was well said. Thanks.

He should talk to Hillary, I’m sure she could help.

No, he’s saving the Democrat party

What’s up with that? 1st gear- inflation, 2nd gear- mining, 3rd gear- leftwing president in Chile, 4th gear complaint about EV tax credit not getting done, 5th gear Elon Musk taxes, and then neutral talk about strikes. The editors need to remind Mr. Orlove that Jalopnik is an automotive site, not a news commentary

That sort of diatribe doesn’t belong on a car site. Go to a political site if you want to express politics.

What does that mean to be fasley accused?

Up to a 12,500 dollar tax credit so wealthy people can buy an EV? I’m not in favor of that at all. One- EV’s can now stand on their own without a subsidy. Two- your credit is less if you don’t pay 12,500 in taxes, making this more of a tax break for the wealthy. Maybe the money would better spent offering the working

I remember these things. Crap then, crap now. Couldn’t see buying it for any price. No dice.

You are so intolerant

You should buy a new Chevy Vega and not one of those cheap Japanese cars.

huh?

It’s all about the hype. Free publicity on wall street and sites like Jalopnik keeps it all going. Someday valuations will matter and the stock price will stagnate, for years perhaps. Can’t bet against them yet though.

The trouble with determining the price to charge EVs is that there are so many variables, and that price will be different for everyone. I know if I had an EV that my electricity usage would push me into a higher price tier of about 29 cents a kwh. The days of free charging at work are waning, and people will get

And ugly too.

Liking the particular vehicle or not helps you determine whether it’s ND or NP, and is thus subjective, as well it should be.

I fell in love with the Mazda Miata the day it came out in 1989. In 1996 I rented one for my birthday to get it out of my system. Didn’t work. Bought my 1997 model it 2000 and still enjoy driving it.
