You can say that promoting alternative medicine is harmful without questioning whether or not she’s even sick, which is what your initial comment did, and is what implies that Lyme is not as serious as she’s making it out to be.

Supposedly she went to MD’s, and when it wasn’t helping (again, not uncommon with Lyme), she started looking into alternative medicine. I’m not a fan of going that route, but having watched someone I love go through it, I understand. It’s completely debilitating and so hard to accept that there’s no solution.

I have a good friend with Lyme who wasn’t ever able to get a complete diagnosis either, but all the symptoms matched so that’s what her doctors have assigned it.

The show is filming her going to doctor’s appointments and showing up for like 5 minutes of a lunch. And taking a selfie also doesn’t really require all that effort. She’s not exactly running marathons.
